Voyage 2: Russian Roads Gameplay Tips and Tricks
Unfortunately, Voyage 2: Russian Roads has a lot of annoying video advertisements in it, which pop-up at random times. Sometimes, you will be able to skip the video advertisements after a few seconds, but other times you are stuck watching them. The developers of Voyage 2: Russian Roads do not give you an option to remove them, not even by paying. Fortunately, I know a trick that will remove every advertisement in Voyage 2: Russian Roads, without you having to spend a single penny on the game. Before you start using this trick, you should first make sure that Voyage 2: Russian Roads is completely closed down and not running in the background.
Once you have done that, you need to turn on Airplane Mode on your mobile device. This will disconnect you from any incoming internet connection, be it Wi-Fi or 3G/4G. Once you have put your mobile device on Airplane Mode, you can start Voyage 2: Russian Roads again. You will quickly notice that there are no more annoying and obstructive advertisements, due to the fact that the game needs an internet connection, in order to be able to push advertisements onto your mobile device. When you are done playing Voyage 2: Russian Roads, you can turn off Airplane Mode and use your mobile device as you have been before.
It is important to know how to shift gears in Voyage 2: Russian Roads, because all of the cars in the game have a manual transmission. If you are not familiar with manual transmissions, it will be very difficult to drive a car in this game. You shift gears in Voyage 2: Russian Roads by tapping on the up or down button on the left side of the screen. Gear one is for getting your car to move, anything from one km/h to ten km/h, after which you need to shift up to gear number two. On gear two, you can drive up to forty km/h, on gear three, you can drive up to sixty km/h. On gear four, you can drive up to eighty km/h and on gear five, you can drive as fast as your car can handle. These figures are estimates and they differ for each car, however, you will be able to tell when you need to shift gears, when your engine starts revving loudly.
Voyage 2: Russian Roads Review
Before I started playing Voyage 2: Russian Roads, I never heard about the game in my life. Judging by the screenshots and the description of the game, Voyage 2: Russian Roads would be about driving around on Russian roads. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there are still developers out there that actually care about implementing real places and roads into their games. I really like the fact that certain places in Voyage 2: Russian Roads are real, and if you live around those places, you would be able to recognize it in the game. The graphics in Voyage 2: Russian Roads are decent, but could have been better in my opinion. The sound effects are nice and realistic, just like when you would drive your own car.
One of the most positive aspects about Voyage 2: Russian Roads is that the developers did not implement any kind of playtime limitations in the game. I always dislike it when there are energy bars, lives or timers in a mobile game, which really slows down the pace of the game and are generally a huge turn off from the game itself. Luckily, this is not the case with Voyage 2: Russian Roads, which means that you can play the game whenever you want and for however long you want. I believe that a lot of players appreciate the fact that there are no playtime limitations in this game, myself included.
Voyage 2: Russian Roads is a nicely balanced game, but unfortunately it also has several negative aspects. For starters, the developers of Voyage 2: Russian Roads have implemented a lot of advertisements into their game. The advertisements come in the form of videos, which pop-up randomly. The video advertisements are anywhere between fifteen and thirty seconds long. Sometimes you will be able to close the video after a few seconds, but at other times you are stuck watching the whole video. This form of advertising is very obstructive and annoying, and a huge turn off from the game itself.
The worst part about the advertisements in Voyage 2: Russian Roads is that, if you accidently do tap on one of the video advertisements, the game will minimalize itself and your browser will start up, redirecting you to the website of the advertiser. The developers of Voyage 2: Russian Roads do not give you an option to remove the advertisements, because they would not earn anything from their game if they would. It is understandable when free-to-play games have advertisements in them, but the developers should also think about ad-placement. Right now, Voyage 2: Russian Roads has the worst kind of advertisements in it, and the developers should look into making changes to this, if they want to keep all their players happy.
Voyage 2: Russian Roads Ratings
Artwork: I give Voyage 2: Russian Roads a 7/10 for its artwork. The graphics in Voyage 2: Russian Roads are pretty decent, especially for a free-to-play mobile game. I really like the fact that the world map is huge in this game, which really gives you the feeling that you are actually on a road trip, and are traveling from one point to another in Russia. I also like the fact that the developers have implemented roads and places in the game, which actually exist. This means that the developers had to take their time, because it is not easy to get real life places into a game, especially if it is a mobile game. I would have liked it if the graphics were a bit higher in quality, because right now the graphics are pretty blocky. It would have been nice if you could use more functions of your car, other than shifting gears and pressing on the pedals.
Music & SFX: I give Voyage 2: Russian Roads a 7/10 for its music and SFX. There are no soundtracks in Voyage 2: Russian Roads, not even in the main menu. This on itself is not such a big problem, however, it would have been nice if you could turn on the radio in the car, and change channels to listen to different kinds of music. There are several sound effects in Voyage 2: Russian Roads, such as when you press your gas pedal and your engine revs, or when you crash into another car. The sound effects are of decent quality, just like the graphics of this game, and they fit each other pretty nicely. I like the fact that the sound effects are easy on the ears and realistic, which also enhances the feeling that you are actually on a road trips.
Story & Originality: I give Voyage 2: Russian Roads an 8/10 for its story and originality. There are several other games on Google Play Store and iOS App Store, which offer the same kind of gameplay as Voyage 2: Russian Roads. However, Voyage 2: Russian Roads is still very original in my opinion, due to the fact that the game has real places and roads implemented in it. People who live around those areas and play Voyage 2: Russian Roads, will actually be able to recognize the places and roads, which is very amazing. The game does not have a story behind it, but it does not really need one anyways. You could imagine yourself being on a road trip in Russia, because that is what Voyage 2: Russian Roads is basically about anyways.
General Gameplay: I give Voyage 2: Russian Roads a 7/10 for general gameplay. There is no tutorial at the beginning of Voyage 2: Russian Roads, which means that you need to figure out by yourself what you are supposed to do, and how to use the controls. I could imagine Voyage 2: Russian Roads being very difficult for people who do not understand how to switch gears in a car, because there are no automatic cars in this game. Fortunately, the gameplay is pretty simplistic and straightforward, once you get used to the controls. Due to the fact that the world map is absolutely huge, the gameplay remains very entertaining, if you enjoy driving around.
Addictiveness: I give Voyage 2: Russian Roads a 7/10 for addictiveness. There are no playtime limitations in Voyage 2: Russian Roads, which means that you can play the game whenever you want, however long you want. Unfortunately, there are no objectives in the game, other than to drive from one point to another. It would have been nice to see more features added to the gameplay, which also would have enhanced the addictiveness level of the game.
All things considered, I give Voyage 2: Russian Roads a 7/10.
